FIREWORKS FESTIVAL & KOJOUSAI SUMMER FESTIVAL”

We arrived at Kawaguchiko which to our surprise was Fireworks Festival at lake Kawaguchiko. Managed to grab a bite and join in the revelry before heading to the Mt Fuji 5th Station.

8.30PM AND WE’RE WALKING

We start off from 5th station at 8.30pm and while we’re hiking up the mountain, we could see the fireworks display about 9pm from Lake Kawaguchiko. View to enjoy since there’s nothing much to see at night with only our headlamps to light the way.

ABOVE THE CLOUDS

As we were arriving the summit, we can now see that we’ve ascended above the clouds. We start to see crowds slowly making their way up.

LAND OF THE RISING SUN

We arrived at the summit at 5am after taking quite a few coffee breaks, but there were just too many people at the summit and was quite uncomfortable. We made out way down not long after. Good experience but would not repeat this again. Maybe when it’s not so commercialised.
