Conquering the highest mountain in Taiwan

Soon after we have checked Mount Rinjani out of our list, we continued to look for the next destination.

Day 1

A short transit in Hong Kong and we land in Taichung.

DAY 2

We checked in to Alishan – 2190m in elevation.

HIKE THROUGH THE FOREST

Starting our hike at Tatajia Saddle ( 2600m) which leads us through the cooling forest with spectacular views

PAIYUN LODGE

Our rest stop at 3402m before the summit attack tomorrow.

WEST PEAK, YUSHAN

While we were here, we took a short trek to the West Peak (3518m)

SUMMIT

After a few hours of pre-dawn trek, we arrive in time to watch the sun rise over the highest peaks of Taiwan and North East Asia ( 3962M)
